Light weight is our passion.
Before 1994, most sailboards were heavy and bulky with technical specifications governed by the requirements of mass production.
High-quality boards were made exclusively available to professional windsurfers at extremely expensive and not what we would consider light-weight.
We were determined to make some changes. Switzerland, with its high degree of quality consciousness and reputation for leading production technology, was the birthplace of our company.
Our company’s name, AirInside, is a statement of our goal to build the world’s lightest sailboards nothing less.
The initial idea was simple however, its application demanded an extremely sophisticated knowledge of production systems and the use of cutting-edge technology and materials.
Lightweight alone doesn't necessarily mean you sacrifice durability, rigidity or control. No one wants to spend their time on the water riding a lightweight sponge. That’s why we use the monocoque technique, which enables us to build a framework with a unique Nomex/Carbon honeycomb.

Riding one of our sailboards gives you the combination of extreme speed, maneuverability, and rigidity, leaving you in total control without sacrificing board durability.
The tremendous success of our sailboards has led to several Swiss Business awards (1995, 1996) , the highest ratings in special interest media worldwide, and an ongoing demand that has become our inspiration to keep building the world’s lightest sailboards not only for the top pros, but for you.
AirInside, any other material would be too heavy.
